Calculus Anima

why

Tripping shadows that wish to leave

for another chance

we fear their little retributions

my gaze is cold and distant

do I detect something wrong?

I think I’ve lost who I was

and the man is afraid of being

without his boy

I pray often, but sometimes

I do not believe

All that I would ask if granted

my hearts desire

is that you return my soul

I need it to move on

Nirvana is so far away

and I cannot remember how to fly

Forgive me

for the pain I brought you

sip from the Grail

anoint your brow with oil blessed

by the longing

whisper a blessing

for those of us

who have lost our angels

we await your return

in agony
